Mizuno Ami is the sailor suited senshi, Sailor Mercury. Ami was the first senshi to join with Sailormoon. Ami is the best at playing video games even though she doesn't play often. She sits back and memorizes all of the moves. In the manga, Ami got the high score on the Sailor V game. Then the machine spit out her henshin pen. At first, Luna thought that she was from the Dark Kingdom because she could sense the strange energy coming from Ami. That changed when the Mercury symbol appeared on Ami's forehead when a youma was trying to drain her energy.
Mercury's first weapon was the Shabon Spray. A lot of people think that Mercury is useless with that weapon, but actually it has saved the sailor senshi several times. Ami's second attack, the Shabon Spray Freezing, was a powered up version of the Shabon Spray. In the second part of the R series, Mercury gets the Shine Aqua Illusion, it is a powerful jet of water that freezes enemies. In the SuperS series, Mercury is powered up to Super Sailor Mercury. Then she has the attack Mercury Aqua Rhapsody, which uses the Mercury Harp to shoot water at the enemy.In the Ami-chan no Hatsukoi special, Mercury used the attack Mercury Aqua Mirage.In the manga,
Merury also had the Shine Snow Illusion, which was another version of the Shine Aqua Illusion. Mercury is the only senshi that has a visor and a mini computer. She uses these to detect weaknesses in her enemies.
Mizuno Ami has been told that her IQ is 300. She attends juku (sort of a school after school) When she was young, she didn't really have many friends because she was always at school. Sometimes she gets upset because she thinks that the only thing she is good for is studying (which is NOT true). She is a shy but always a kind girl. When she met Usagi her personality began to show through. Her mother is a doctor and Ami wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She had the chance to study abroad, but she turned it down at the last moment to stay with her friends. Ami's father is a Japanese artist. Ami never sees him, but she receives postcards from him. (Only in the manga) As the princess of Mercury, her castle is the Marina Castle.

My Opinion:Ami can be really cute. She's a valuable member of the Sailor Senshi team. She always tries her best to please the others, but when it comes down to the wire, Mercury is all business and with her brains she can be a very tough opponent.
